When superhuman abilities entered the world in 2008, the world struggled to come to terms with its new reality. Those (un)lucky few who've developed abilities are now forced to decide what to do with them: ignore them and try to lead a normal life, use them to further their own goals, or use them to defend those who cannot defend themselves – even if much of the world doesn't want their help. Many just wish things could go back to normal, but while much remains uncertain, it is clear to all involved that 'normal' will never be normal again.
Beyond is an original-concept superhero roleplay site, grounded in the idea of how the world might genuinely respond to the sudden emergence of superhumans. Although canon superhero characters are not allowed, we welcome (and encourage) your own unique spin on your favorites to create something new.
